Evil Genius: A HISTORY OF FAILURES

On two occasions, I have been asked [by members of Parliament], ‘Pray, Mr. Babbage, if you put into the machine wrong figures, will the right answers come out?’ I am not able to rightly apprehend the kind of confusion of ideas that could provoke such a question.

How can I start with a labourious post as this? Throughout history, it is shown that innovators will rule the world and enslave us all with their inventions, and Bill Gates is no exception. Wait a minute, I know what everyone’s thinking. Everytime Darth Gates shits out something from his dictatorship company, Microsoft, it always wows everybody, until the users discover that Bill hasn’t bvothered to clean his messes. In complicated programming! Here’s a well-known list of them:

  1. Blue screen of death
  2. Patching problems
  3. Data corruption
  4. Attack codes, bringing on crashes
  5. Malware
  6. Having a record for bugs in an Operating System and breaking the last record–63000 bugs were last reported in Windows 2000, which is still used despite the release of the shiny new soulless Vista.

Since Gates is retired, I wonder who’s writing the software or ideas for the next one now? Maybe these guys (hopefully), know to learn from the mistakes of ancient history.

  1. I agree with the previous (robot) post, you are quite observative (?).
    As for Microsoft in the post-Gates era- Rumor has it the CEO of McAfee Virus Scan took over the job. Or at least it seems that way.

  2. Does it mean he’ll (the new guy) will scan for every error or has he miraculously turned the famed Windows OS into one threatening virus or mislabelled it by the mistake called Human Error?
