Sickness: OR, IDIOCY SYNDROME

The prospect of a long day at the beach makes me panic. There is no harder work I can think of than taking myself off to somewhere pleasant, where I am forced to stay for hours and ‘have fun’.
Phillip Lopate

After hearing about the whole nonsensical incident of the American jumbo-jet flying low over the U.S. skies, I know what to expect of the human race when something goes wrong.

Panic.

I know it’s been wired into our systems from the time we crawled out of the caves, but shouldn’t they be more prepared instead of being a bunch of excited school girls wetting their pants? After all, they didn’t want the “first mistake” to happen ever again after so many years of having security overhyped to the gills. Sometimes, even the best country in the world can act the worst when it comes to matters of home security. Sigh.
