Taking Two: UNIFICATIONS

To love deeply in one direction makes us more loving in all others.
Anne-Sophie Swetchine

It scares me when I find out that I am related to a person or a family called “This is the family of So-and-So and these are their kids; Blah, Blah-Blah and Blah-Blah-Blah…” and it scares me because this family, especially the ones I’m related to on Dad’s side because of the shocking differences that they have compared to ours and that we go out of our way to visit them and they don’t repay the favor. No emails, no phone calls. Nothing. Just a void waiting to be filled by events that happen once every couple of years even if this family is all in the same country. Communication silence in families and their members scare the living shit out of me, I don’t know why, but they just do. Oh wait, communication is essential in families no matter what (unless things are private), even if most of us lock themselves up in their rooms. But this is something different; we have both realized that we must spend time apart for the better and give each other a vast amount of space to breathe for at least two weeks. I know, scary. I have compiled a list of what to do in that space of time however.

  • Renew my license permit
  • Go driving
  • Finish teaching myself Blender
  • Ditto for piano
  • Get the recipes off the Net that I like and make them from scratch
  • Catch up with friends
  • Go clubbing
  • Go out drinking
  • Make my own drinks (thanks to the recipes from STM Magazine)
  • Get back to the guys at Relative

I know. That’s a lot to do for two weeks. But it’s better than nothing.

  1. i know families like that and i don’t like them either. i think the meaning of family is deteriorating in this era. family is who is close to your heart, not necessarily related by blood.

but i still want a family of my own if i can, heh.

  2. Apparently some guy came up with the theory that we are more happier without children, but I think that’s the inner shopper/consumerist talking. Who wants to stay single in their forties or fifties anyway? Certainly not me ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ˜€

  3. word! but i don’t need my own blood kids, i wouldn’t mind adopting.

  4. As they say around those parts; “Yeah, dawg!” ๐Ÿ˜› But I wouldn’t mind as well; one of blood and one adopted.
